Freshen up your home with Urban Outfitters' latest HOME pieces.
We love a bit of boho! It doesn't take much to give any room a touch of bohemian flair.
We rounded up our favourite picks from Urban Outfitters Home to create the ultimate boho-industrial look at home. Share your picks with us on the comments or on Twitter. Find us at @JulietOYankee.
The first rule of boho has to be Rattan. It’s such an easy material to work with and can transform a room in a matter of seconds. The Rattan Two Tier Stand is a gorgeous piece which can be used for any purpose. We would style it in a corner with a string of beads succulent on the top tier and a spider plant on the lower tier.
A gorgeous round industrial mirror can add extra depth to a smaller room. The brass keeps the overall look warm and if you have other brass/gold detailing within the room, this will help tie it all together.
Fluffy and shaggy textures are a great way to add both an extra layer of texture and a dishevelled look. It’s a very versatile finish and you can scatter it around the room in the form of cushions or the Large Shaggy Stool. Top it with a round tray and a couple of your favourite books.
When it comes to industrial looks, there’s nothing more appropriate than wood and metals. The General Shelving is a great way of introducing this look while keeping the piece pretty functional. It’s such a lovely and understated piece to showcase your favourite treasures, be it some records, plants or vases.
And coming back to rattan, we fell in love with the round Demba Side Table. The natural rattan and black combo make this a pretty casual and elegant piece. Perfect for rooms with neutral decor and pop of colour in the form of plants and colourful paraphernalia.
The second pilar of a bohemian look is greenery. Terrariums are the perfect way of adding a touch of green without overcrowding a room with plants, the perfect solution for small rooms or flats. The Urban Grow Star Terrarium Planter combines that with a beautiful geometric and brass detailing.
Talking about plants, if you have a little bit more space, go for a plant stand. This Modern Plant Stand tricks the eye into thinking the plant is suspended in the air. The minimalist design is great because it’s not clunky and doesn’t take too much space.
The Hand Ashtray is such a lovely and minimal decorative piece. Fill it with an air plant like in the picture or a tiny cactus. Use it as bed-side ring holder or an actual ashtray. We absolutely love the hand detailing.
The third pilar of a boho look is Macramé. Be it in the form of a hanging planter or a banner, macramé is another great way of adding decorative texture to bare walls.
The Maryam Macramé Banner can be hung above a sofa or a bed and the white on white will make it even more minimal, something that’s quite popular at the moment.
This Round Cloche Table Lamp is a more out-there style of lamp but will most certainly balance out the bohemian overhaul with its crystal ball vibe. Place it on a desk or chest of drawers, or you can just pretend you can read the future with it.
Last but not least, an industrial icon, the typewriter. Once you get your first, you won’t be able to stop collecting them.
